Analysis – WebAR Cultural Heritage Experience

We developed an immersive WebAR platform that transforms museum collections into accessible digital experiences. Visitors can explore a curated virtual gallery of glass sculptures from the Museum of Vojvodina, learn about each artifact, and place selected pieces into their own space using augmented reality.

The experience runs directly in the browser with no app download required, making cultural content more accessible across mobile devices and modern audiences.

Accessible Cross-Platform Experience

No App Installation: Launch instantly through a web link or QR code.

  • Optimized 3D Models: High-quality sculptures load quickly while preserving visual detail.

  • Smooth Mobile Experience: Designed for responsive performance across smartphones and tablets.

  • Scalable Platform: Additional collections, languages, and exhibitions can be added easily.

Problem – Limited Access to Museum Collections

Many valuable museum objects remain accessible only to on-site visitors or inside display cases, limiting engagement and broader audience reach. Traditional exhibition formats can also make it difficult for younger and digitally native audiences to connect with historical artifacts.

This creates challenges such as:

  • Limited remote access to collections

  • Passive visitor engagement

  • Minimal interaction with exhibited objects

  • Reduced visibility outside museum walls

  • Fewer educational touchpoints for digital audiences

Audience Experience Challenges

Modern audiences expect interactive and mobile-friendly experiences. Museums need new ways to present collections while preserving authenticity and educational value.

Solution – WebAR Virtual Glass Gallery

We created a browser-based virtual gallery featuring glass sculptures from the Museum of Vojvodina. Users can browse a digital exhibition, explore detailed object information, and view selected artifacts in augmented reality directly in their environment.

Digital Collection Meets Augmented Reality

Visitors navigate a curated gallery of interactive 3D sculptures, open artifact descriptions, and launch AR mode to place pieces on tables, floors, or surrounding spaces using their mobile camera.

As part of the production process, we also handled the photogrammetry digitization of the sculptures in collaboration with NoctuaCG, capturing each piece with high visual fidelity and converting them into optimized real-time 3D assets for web and AR use.

This creates a more personal and engaging relationship with museum objects while extending the collection beyond the physical exhibition space.

Designed for museums, tourism, education, and cultural promotion, the platform includes photogrammetry production, WebAR deployment, responsive UI, 3D optimization, multilingual content support, and branded customization.
